Horack Talley Names K. Mitchell Kelling Shareholder
Charlotte, January 1, 2007: Horack Talley has promoted K. Mitchell Kelling to Shareholder. Ms. Kelling joined the firm in June of 2000, and has developed her practice in Family Law, with emphasis on custody, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution. Ms. Kelling practices in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, and surrounding counties. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist by the North Carolina State Bar. As a member the Mecklenburg County Bar, she is chair of the Mecklenburg Young Lawyers Section for 2006-2007.
Recently, Ms. Kelling was selected to participate in Leadership Charlotte XXVIII, the region's premier community leadership development organization. Community activities include: The Children's Law Center (volunteer attorney), Habitat for Humanity, The Junior League of Charlotte, and the Mecklenburg County Bar Leadership Institute-2005.
Ms. Kelling graduated cum laude from Harvard, with a bachelors' degree in government, and received her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
