ABOUT US
Horack Talley: one of the oldest and most trusted law firms in the Carolinas.
Horack Talley offers a tradition of value and personal service to our clients. We have offices in uptown Charlotte, in the South Park area of Charlotte, and in Rock Hill, South Carolina, all of which enable us to serve our clients with interests in both states. Horack Talley is one of the oldest firms in the Charlotte region, with more than seventy-five years of service to our state and community.
Horack Talley's practice areas include commercial and residential real estate, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, family law, creditors' rights, tax planning and wealth building, employment law, and homeowners' associaton law.
Horack Talley has grown significantly in the past decade, adding practice areas and additional services to our existing practice groups. In 2007 Horack Talley formed the first Green law practice in the Carolinas to help local and regional firms navigate the new territory of carbon-conscious real estate, clean technology, and Green debt and equity. The firm will continue to grow as needed to continue to provide the excellent client service people have come to expect from Horack Talley.
Horack Talley attorneys have served in numerous leadership roles in our professions and our communities, as well as in county and state government. Our present and former attorneys proudly served in the roles of president of the Mecklenburg County Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association as well as several legal-services organizations, including Legal Aid of North Carolina. We have also served on the Charlotte city council and as Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board members. One of our lawyers went on to become the president of Duke Energy and another became the Mayor of Asheville. Horack Talley attorneys today continue the tradition of benevolent service for the public good.
